Skills & Experience:


Sean has been working professionally in the fields of Illustration & Graphic Designer for the last 17 years. He has developed a steady working relationship with many of his clients illustrating and visualizing their needs. Working mainly over the years as an in-house illustrator, designer, and photo manipulator for many Corporations, ad agencies, design studios, and publishing houses. he has worked in the professional fields of illustration as a graphic designer, free-lancer and an educator. Sean has acquired extensive experience and discernment when it comes to the requirement of the client.

Sean has eight years experience in the prepress industry creating computer aided design, illustration, and and production design. He has the capability to reproduce accurate reproduction of artwork into cmyk, rgb, and index colors, with two years additional experience operating an Isomet 8000 drum scanner and an Iris ink jet printer.

From 1993-99 Sean work for a computer aided design firm called Accu-Color Inc in St. Louis, MO. Sean operating a Crossfield Colorspace retouching station doing photo manipulator as well as being an In-house illustrator and designer for Accu-Color.
Clients include company's such as Anheuser-Busch, Samuel Adam's, Berton Snow boards,D'arcy, Monsanto, Mertz, Laclede, mosby, and Viacom. Sean created numerous graphic such as logos, greeting cards, brouchures,annual report,catalogs and magazine ads.His work has appeared DVD covers, CD covers, packaging, magazines and magazine covers, and editorials...etc.

Teaching experience:

Sean has 8 years experience teaching part-time in the fields of Graphic Design and Illustration, at Florissant Valley Community College in St. Louis, MO. From 1995 to 2003.

Freelance Graphic Design:

In 1997 Sean produced numerous illustrations and designs, for R.K. Stratman Inc. and Advanced Screen Printing Inc. to be used for the apparel industry.

In 1998 Sean designed the promotional material for West End Diving's trips to the Bonne Terre Mine for scuba diving excurssions

Freelance Illustration:

Sean created numerous cartoons and medical illustration for Beaumont Graphic, in Maryland Heights, MO, to be used in medical books by Mosby Medical Inc.

Sean created multiple Editorial illustration for Hartmann Publications Inc. in
St. Louis, MO, from 1995 to 2002, to be featured in the Riverfront Times Magazine.

In 2001 he created illustration to be use in Scholastic book publications, for Lakewood Publications in Minneapolis, MN

Sean has been creating yearly christmas cards for Sprinklerfitters Local 268 since 2001-on going.
In 2005 Sean started doing commissioned work more for the private sector. Doing portraitures and painting on various vehicles such as motorcycle and watercraft around the St. Louis area.

Sculpture:

In 2001 Sean was commissioned by Sprinklerfitters Local 268 in St. Louis to design a lapel pin,a gold coin and build a sculpture using the United Pipe Trade Logo., Sean then took the logo a cube it to produce a three dimensional Sculpture of the logo with a fountain in the middle. The sculpture was made of copper tubing brazed together. Then the sculpture was powder coated with a bronze patina. A silver Sprinkler head protruding up the center in which water will flow out of.

Crossfield ColorSpace, Adobe Acrobat professional 7.0, Adobe Illustrator CS4, Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Dreamweaver CS4, Adobe Fireworks CS4, Fetch 5.1,Quark Express 7.1, Microsoft office, Word, Power Point, Front Page, Outlook, and Publisher,
Mac and PC friendly.

Industrial design Experience and Software:

In 1999 Sean received industrial design, and CAD experience and was hired by
Nor-dyne Inc. to help in the creation of a new furnaces assembly line and instructional manuals to be used in the construction of new furnaces.
Software :CAD, Alibre Design.

Education:


Received a Degree in Computer Aided Sciences for Dupont's Printing and publishing division in Glen Rock, NJ, Qualifying Sean to operate a Crossfield Colorspace retouching station in 1994

Attended Kendall College of Art and design, Grand Rapids,MI, from 1990 to 1993 graduating with an Bachelor of Fine Arts.


Attended Florissant Valley Community College in St. Louis, MO, from 1984 to 1989 graduating with an associate in Advertising Design and Commercial Art.

Exhibitions,Publications and Certificates:


Sean work is published in the Director of Illustrations : Volumes 13, though 17.

Sean work was featured in Borders Books "One man Show's" in the St. Louis area from 11/21/97 to 02/15/98.
Sean work was also featured in Florissant Valley's alumni show's from 1995 to 2002.

In 2000 Sean entered one hockey and one soccer illustration into the prestigious Sports Artist of the Year Competition where he received a Certificate of Appreciation.
